Winter Activities in Bryce Canyon

Winter is one of the most magical times of the year at Bryce Canyon National Park. The air is crisp and pure and you can see for hundreds of miles. Like fall and spring, winter is a smart time to visit Bryce Canyon. Take advantage of low rates and practically no crowds. The park is open all year and is accessible by automobile although sections of the road may be temporarily closed after a heavy snowfall. Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing are popular in the Bryce Canyon National Park and the surrounding area.

The Ruby’s Inn Winter Adventure Center is open daily 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Hours are subject to vary depending on weather.

What says “winter-outdoor-fun” better than Ice skating? The Bryce Canyon Ice Ribbon is located across from Ruby’s Inn at the Winter Activity Center (Ebenezer’s Barn & Grill building)

Young and old alike can enjoy this time proven winter favorite. Bring your own skates or rentals are available at the Winter Activity Center at Ruby’s Inn.

$ 7 Per Person for Ice Ribbon Access Pass, Children (3 & under) free.
Ice skates are included with pass.

 

 

 

Cross Country Skiing

Start your cross country ski adventure right from your guest room door!  Over 30 km of groomed trails wind through forests of Ponderosa pine, meadows and majestic overlooks,  offering guests one of the best ways to enjoy the peaceful scenery and fresh clean air of Bryce.  The canyon is especially beautiful in the winter and cross country skiing is permitted inside the park.

Rental equipment, maps and information are available at Ruby’s Inn Winter Activity Center (Ebenezer’s Barn & Grill building).

Snowshoeing

Snowshoeing offers a unique way to connect with the beauty of  Bryce Canyon and the surrounding national forest. The solace of exploring the park in winter is a great activity for couples and families alike. Come escape the pressures of the hectic holiday season and experience the magic of the incredible winter scenery.

$15 Per Rental, $10 After 1p.m.
